INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PERFECT FRIED MUSHROOMS

Clean and completely dry the mushrooms, then begin to slice mushrooms in desired style. Try not to cut slices too thinly, or they’ll reduce in size too much when cooking.
Heat the oil or butter in the pan on a medium-high heat. Wait until it’s sizzling, then add the mushrooms to the pan.
Add the mushrooms and let them cook without stirring. Try to resist any stirring for the first 5 minutes.
Once you begin to see golden edges and no more liquid, give the mushrooms a quick stir. The mushrooms will begin to turn a dark reddish-brown with golden spots.
Add your seasoning at this stage. This can include salt, pepper, GARLIC, fresh herbs, or even a little more butter if you’re feeling indulgent. Remove from the pan and serve.
